A LOVING mother who experienced the heartache of a stillbirth has set up a charity to remember her daughter.

Ava Williams was still alive when she was 39 weeks old and there was no reason to suspect there would be complications with her birth.

She died the day before her due date in July last year and no reason has been given for her death.

Sophia Williams has turned her grief into a positive by starting Ava's Fund in memory of her second daughter.

Her sister, Rachel Peacock, is hoping to use her talents as a pilates instructor to help her cause by inviting the public to PTM Studio in Lower Earley this Saturday.

Rachel said: "This is a charity very close to our hearts. My younger sister Sophia lost her baby in childbirth and she decided to set up a charity to make people aware of how babies can die in childbirth.

"It is important to know what support is available and we are holding a huge charity event on April 1 to raise money and awareness for Ava's Fund.

"We hope to offer classes to the general public with a small donation towards the charity."

Ava's Fund is working in partnership with Towards Tomorrow Together to help create awareness of and reduce stillbirth rates across Berkshire.

PTM Studio opened its doors to the public for the first time in January and they will be asking for a minimum donation of £5.00 towards the charity.

The sessions will run from 9.30am until 12.30pm and everyone is welcome to attend.
