An Eversley man has been fined for possessing cannabis and cocaine after police pulled a car over in Woodley.

Jonathan Eden, 23, of Lower Common in Eversley, admitted one count of possession of cannabis and another of possession of cocaine. He was ordered to pay a £440 fine, a £26 victim surcharge and £160 costs by a judge sitting at Oxford Crown Court.

Eden was with two men form Yateley, Surrey, in a car stopped by police in Sandford Lane, Woodley, on 19 February. The three were arrested on the same day and charged on 10 September.

Jacob Care, 21, of Hilltop View, Yateley, pleaded guilty to possession of cannabis with intent to supply and was jailed for 10 months and another eight months for breaching a suspended sentence.

Police seized £270 from car and he was ordered to pay a £100 victim surcharge.

Matthew Robson, 22, of Patten Avenue, Yateley, pleaded guilty to possession of cannabis and was ordered to pay a £180 fine, £20 victim surcharge and £120 costs.

Police Constable Tim Cameron from Woodley Neighbourhood Team said: “I am pleased that these three men took responsibility for their actions and I hope that the sentences they were given will deter them from future drugs offences.

“Drugs blight our community and we will do everything in our power to bring those people who possess and supply drugs to justice.”
