Police are appealing for information after a public order offence in Howth Drive, Woodley, on Saturday morning.
At about 7.40am, a 52-year-old woman was jogging when she saw a man cross the road in front of her.
As the woman ran past the man he tried to grab her, however the woman managed to evade the offender and run off.
The offender is believed to be white, in his late teens or early twenties, slim, 5ft 11in, with a pale complexion, short dark brown hair, stubble and an ear spacer in his right ear.
He was wearing a dark green or khaki-coloured beanie hat, a dark green jacket, and green trousers.
The victim said the offender’s knuckles were scratched and he had spots of blood on the chest area of his top.
Investigating officer PC Ross Kowald said that the victim has been "shaken up" by the incident.
