The Reading crew, from Wokingham Road, were called to Loddon Bridge Road at about 9.10am, where a 7.5-ton navy blue lorry had become wedged underneath the railway bridge.
Firefighters used a winch to release the lorry, while Network Rail officials and police surveyed the bridge before quickly declaring it safe.
The driver of the lorry was a little shaken but escaped unharmed.
The fire crew left the scene about an hour later.
