FIREFIGHTERS spent an hour-and-a-half battling a blaze after a garage caught fire in Winnersh last night.
The occupier raised the alarm at around 6.15pm and crews from Wokingham Fire Station rushed to Greenwood Grove to find the semi-detached house’s garage was ablaze.
Using hose reels and breathing apparatus the crews managed to douse the flames, which are believed to have been sparked by an electrical fault.
