It is EASI to attract new volunteers when the end result is obvious for all to see.

The Earley Adopt-A-Street Initiative (EASI) is having great success signing up new members to keep their streets clean with help from Earley Town Council. There are already 45 people taking part.

Peter Soul, from Maiden Erlegh Residents' Association, which came up with the idea, said: "The EASI team has also done a lot of good already by noticing and reporting fly-tipped rubbish, broken manhole and other covers and concentrations of litter at Chalfont Park - whatever's wrong, it will be EASI out there finding it, rain or shine.

"Keeping your stretch of road, or a nearby footpath or green space, clear of litter is impossible for our councils to do properly."
