A BURST of colour awaits visitors to a new exhibition at Earley's Peacock Gallery.

Artist Celeste Kelly, based in Twyford, is showing some of her recent paintings and life drawings at the Maiden Erlegh School gallery in its Silverdale Road campus from Saturday.

She works mostly in oils but sometimes also pastels, charcoal and pencil. She is also trained in glass blowing, stained glass artistry and sculpture.

The exhibition, called Life In Colour, runs until Tuesday, March 30, from 2.30-4.30pm on weekdays and from 10am-4pm on the two Saturdays, when Celeste will also be there to chat about her work.

Celeste did a fine art diploma at Amersham Art College and graduated in 1979 with distinction. In 1982 she did a year-long glass blowing course in Brierley Hill, Birmingham, which led to her training and working, on and off for the next seven years, for stained glass, artist Joseph Nuttgens.

For details about the exhibition call 0118 987 1504.
