AN ASPIRING actress has had her first big break after being flown to Los Angeles and starring in an ad campaign for one of the world's biggest companies.

Sophie Allen, 21, who has lived her whole life in Earley and just moved to Winnersh, is 'Hero Girl' in Coca-Cola's new global commercial. She filmed the ad in Prague and was flown to LA to do the photoshoot for the billboard campaign.

The former Bulmershe schoolgirl, who has starred in independent films, said: "I'm so excited about it! I graduated from my actor training this year and this is my first big job. The advert was inspired by Amélie, one of my favourite films - plus I look a bit like its star, Audrey Tautou. After the Soho auditions, nearly two weeks passed and my head nearly exploded with the torture of waiting for the phone to ring. If I got the job it would mean I wouldn't have to work for a year. When I actually got the part, I phoned everyone who would listen.

"On the shoot I worked 16-hour days and for days I wasn't allowed to sit down because the costume mistress hadn't made another skirt so couldn't replace it I had so much fun it hardly felt like work!"

The ad will hit screens worldwide this month.
