A GANG of four men made off with cash and electronics after threatening frightened homeowners with bladed weapons.
The group forced entry to a house on Hanwood Close, in the early hours of this morning (June 16) while the occupants were sleeping upstairs.
The offenders raided the Woodley home before leaving on foot in the direction of Shepherds Walk.
Although the victims were not injured, they are in a state of shock, with the burglary believed to have taken place at around 12.50am.
They have described the perpetrators as being male, white and wearing balaclavas with dark clothing.
Investigating officer, Detective Constable Kevin Godding of Reading Force CID, said: “This was a frightening incident for the victims which has left them in shock.
“Reassurance patrols are taking place in the local community and we are determined to find those responsible.
“I would urge anyone who witnessed the offence or any suspicious behaviour in the area to please come forward.
