A RAPIST who attacked a woman in a Reading home has been jailed for five-and-a-half years.
Joshua Cooke raped a woman in her 20's last year.
The 26-year-old entered a house in Reading on Saturday, July 18, 2015, at 7am.
He was arrested the next day and charged on Thursday, March 10 this year.
Cooke, of Drovers Way, Woodley, was convicted of three counts of rape after a three day trial at Reading Crown Court.
He was sentenced to 66 months in jail at the same court on Thursday, August 11.
Investigating officer, detective constable Philip Wilson said: "The emotional and psychological impact of this offence on the victim has been substantial.
"However I commend her bravery in reporting this to the police and then telling the court what happened.
"I hope this conviction and sentence enables her to move on with her life."
