FIREFIGHTERS were called to rescue a workman after the wind blew shut the back door of his van - while he was fetching some tools.
The man was working in Greenacres Avenue, Winnersh, when strong winds slammed the door shut, with the keys still in the front.
The man was trapped inside the van for more than 15 minutes until a nearby dog walker heard him banging on the door calling for help, and alerted the emergency services.
Firemen were able to free him with a press of a button inside the vehicle.
Watch manager Tim Irvin from Wokingham Road Fire Station said: "He went to get some tools out and the wind blew the door shut.
"He was parked there doing some work on somebody's house. He had no phone so he was banging on the back door. A dog walker heard some noise.
"He was a little bit distressed when we got to him, he was in there with no water and no air conditioning."
