A MAN has been arrested and charged after at a robbery at an Earley phone shop.
Mazidur Muhit appeared before magistrates on Saturday and stood accused of robbery and possession of an imitation firearm.
The 21-year-old from North Cottages, St Albans, was arrested last Thursday and has been remanded into custody before a further hearing at Reading Crown Court on March 7.
The charges come after two men entered the Carphone Warehouse off the Shepherds Hill roundabout in Earley.
A number of gadgets, including those owned by the two staff on duty, were handed over on February 2.
A spokesman for Thames Valley Police said: "Following a Thames Valley Police investigation, a 21-year-old man from St Albans, Hertfordshire, has been charged with robbery and possession of an imitation firearm in connection with a robbery at a Carphone Warehouse store in Reading last week."
