A DRIVER was rushed to hospital after a two-car collision shut down part of a road in Woodley this afternoon.
Thames Valley Police were called to Loddon Bridge Road shortly before 1.30pm, to reports of a two-car crash. A black VW Golf and a blue Ford Mondeo had collided.
Paramedics were called to the scene and treated a male and a female for neck and chest injuries.
A section of the road had to be shut off while officers cleared away debris from the crash, but it was opened shortly after.
A spokesman for South Central Ambulance Service said one of the patients was taken to the Royal Berkshire Hospital.
A spokesman for Thames Valley Police added: "We were called at 13.29pm to a two-car collision in Woodley. The road was shut temporarily but it was open again after 2.30pm."
