A man arrested after threatening to harm himself on the raillway line at Earley station has been released with a caution.
Thames Valley Police, British Transport Police and the air ambulance were alerted to the trespassing incident at around 4pm on Wednesday, September 2.
The 28-year-old man was threatening to harm himself and police led him away from the railway tracks at around 5.15pm.
The incident on Wednesday caused major disruption, with services between Reading and Ascot temporarliy suspended.
A spokesman for British Transport Police said: “A 28-year-old man of no fixed address has been interviewed and given a police caution.
“The man was cautioned for railway trespass and obstructing a train carriage following an incident at Earley station, Reading, on Wednesday, 2 September.
“Officers attended the incident, alongside colleagues from Thames Valley Police, and discovered a man on the line threatening to harm himself.”
