A SCHOOL has been awarded 'Gold Status' for the third year in a row for providing excellent sports opportunities.
Theale Green School was recognised by the Youth Sports Trust for its commitment to PE at the school.
The award marks the success of the department in developing sporting opportunities for pupils.
Tony Blinco, head of PE, said: “We are thrilled that the PE Department has been awarded 'Gold Status' for a third year.
“It is an amazing achievement and accolade, which recognises our huge commitment in offering students excellent sporting opportunities.”
The School Games Mark is a Government led award scheme launched in 2012, facilitated by the Youth Sport Trust, to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community.
