AN EMPLOYEE at a prestigious phone company is accused of using her position to fraudulently obtain more than £200,000 worth of mobile phones.
Kelli Kilpatrick, worked for Vodafone at their Newbury headquarters.
The 29-year-old is accused of using her position as a respected account manager to obtain mobile phones and tablets worth £213,520.
She did not give a plea at the hearing at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, March 23.
Sarah Mackay, prosecuting, said: “She is charged with theft by employee, in this case Vodafone, after ordering 361 mobile phones to the value of more than £213,000.
The 29-year-old defendant currently lives in Salford, Manchester.
Judge Graham Woodfine concluded: “We will have to send this matter to crown court."
The case will be heard at Reading Crown Court on Monday, April 17.
Kilpatrick was released on bail.
