A GROUP of British Nazis are thought to be behind the 'white zone' posters that appeared across Newbury.

Residents were left stunned when they found racist stickers, pictured, advocating a white-only area outside their homes.

Thames Valley Police confirmed the force is investigating the bizarre incident, and anyone with information should contact them on 101.

A resident reported to police 'white zone' stickers had been put up around Chesnut Crescent and the A4 underpass leading to Almond Avenue.

The black and yellow stickers bear the name of National Action, a self identified Nazi party.

They say they are : "A community of young Nationalists in the United Kingdom, united in a mission to save our race and generation.

"We are a group who are tired of seeing injustice; our people exploited and abused, our women raped and murdered, society crumble, our nation dying."

Sergeant Holly Nicholls, of Newbury Police Station, said "Thames Valley Police has received a complaint from a member of the public. The offensive nature of the 'white zone' posters, in addition to the fact that they were fly-posted, led to the removal of the posters.

"We are appealing for information after several racist flyers have been posted in Newbury."

The stickers were first reported to the force on Monday morning.

Sgt Nicholls added: "Officers are asking for people to come forward with any information as to who may have placed these stickers. Residents should also call Thames Valley Police on 101 to report seeing the posters and stickers."
