TWO ladies have brought beauty treatments together to boost both their businesses.

Nikki Fernandes-Holland, who runs mobile nail care business Nik Naks, has teamed up with Debbie Larsen, who runs hair salon, Topaz, at Fitness First in Tilehurst.

The two have combined their services at a salon of their own at tattoo parlour, Reading Ink in Whitley Street.

Nikki had been a receptionist at Fitness First and knew there was a spare downstairs salon at Reading Ink, so she asked and Reading Ink was happy to let it to her.

Nikki can start offering nail tattoos as well as the more traditional nail treatments and nail art and both companies can benefit from each other's customer databases.

Nikki said: "It has gone really, really well. A lot of people have helped and supported us."

And the hours spent talking to customers while they have their nails or hair done are not wasted.

Nikki and Debbie are going to put up a board for other trades so that business cards can be put on display.
