Reading Rockets Basketball players will be giving out free game tickets and chicken to customers at a newly refurbished restaurant.
The NBL Division One men’s team will be dishing out meals at Nandos restaurant in the Oracle on Wednesday, December 3. Doors open at 11.30am and chicken will be served between 12 and 1pm and again at 6pm and 7pm.
The players will be giving out tickets ahead of their National Cup Semi-Final game which takes place four days later on Sunday December 7 at home to Worthing Thunder.
Rockets chairman Gary Johnson said: “Wednesday will be a great opportunity for both parties; for us, we are able to go there and be amongst the community as well and be a part of the re-launch for the restaurant in the Oracle and for Nandos they will have some big basketball players attracting members of the public to try some free chicken and be in and around the restaurant having fun.”
“We are really looking forward to our time at Nandos and it is sure to be a great day and we urge as many people as possible to come down, meet our players, and eat some free chicken.”
