WORKS of art in glass, fabric, ceramics, bronze and paint were exhibited to raise money for charity by the Rotary Club of Reading Maiden Erlegh.
Around £5,000 pounds was raised for a children’s hospice as the amateur artists donated a percentage of their art works sale price.
The yearly exhibition was organised by Rotary member David Cotton who said the standard of work had been high.
He said: “This is not a selective exhibition and the standard exceeded expectations.
“There were a variety of styles, subjects and materials used.” Mr Cotton said the weekend workshops where people get to try their hands at a new art proved particularly popular.
The overall exhibition winner was judged to be Rodney Tate who painted a summer bouquet. Second place went to Natasha Zavialov while a contemporary piece called 'Making sense of disorder’ claimed the third place.
The money is set to be donated by to the Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice.
