HUNDREDS of foot-high cannabis plants were found packed into a terrace house after a police raid.
The house in Beecham Road, West Reading, was full of the pungent plants being grown on both floors.
Heating and cultivation equipment was discovered in the house in the raid described as “substantial” by officers.
A spokesman for Thames Valley Police said officers raided the home in the residential area at 8.05am in Friday.
She said: “Officers acted on a warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act in Beecham Road, Reading.
“Cannabis plants and cultivation equipment were also found on the premises.
“No one was arrested as the house was unoccupied.
“Investigations are still ongoing.” Three officers were throwing the plants and the compost into industrial-size waste bins with two removal workers at the house on Friday afternoon, five hours after the raid.
The haul was expected to fill three of the bins and the front garden was full of foil-lined heating equipment.
