POLLING Stations across the town will remain open until 10pm this evening - with The Chronicle revealing the results online as they are announced live from the count.

Readers can also stay up to date with all the action at Rivermead Leisure Centre in Richfield Avenue on Twitter by following @rdgchronicle.

Polling booths opened this morning at 7am, with 16 of Reading Borough Council's 46 seats up for grabs and control of the local authority hanging very much in the balance.

The first results are expected shortly after the polling stations close.

The Chronicle will also be reporting live from the Wokingham Borough Council election count tomorrow - online and on Twitter from 9am.
