POLICE have launched a fresh appeal for witnesses after two women had their handbags snatched by robbers in separate incidents that were just two days apart.
Officers are keen to speak to this woman who was shopping at the Co-op, in The Square in Pangbourne, at around 5pm on January 14, when a 47-year-old woman had her handbag snatched as she pushed her trolley through the car park of the store.
Just two days later, on January 16, a 78-year-old woman was walking through the same car park at about 3pm when a man grabbed the strap of her bag and yanked it so hard that she fell over.
He fled with the bag and the victim sustained a bruised shoulder.
Police are keeping an "open mind" about whether the two incidents are linked, but people with information should call 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
