A GROUP of old school friends were reunited more than five decades after they all met sharing a classroom.

Former pupils of the former Woodley Secondary Modern School in Loddon Bridge Road returned to the town on Saturday, March 3, for a reunion at The Bull and Chequers pub.

Organiser Shirley Hiscock said: "There were about 17 of our class there for the 1956 year reunion and one even came down from Manchester.

"We all had a great time catching up after many years. Most of us are in our 70s now but we hope to all meet up again next year."
