Police hunting crash clues bid to trace 'Webster' tipper truck
A TIPPER truck driver could hold vital clues into a collision between a cyclist and a car at a pedestrian crossing in west Reading.
The lorry driver is believed to have been waiting at the crossing close to the Norcot Road-Oxford Road roundabout when the bike was in collision with an old style blue Peugeot 106 near the Oxford Road at 5.15pm on Tuesday this week.
The motorist - a white man in his late thirties around 5ft 8ins tall - drove off towards the town centre without stopping, despite a request from the cyclist, who suffered minor injuries, to pull into a nearby layby.
Police say lorry is thought to have the name Webster on its side but they have no other details.
