A BLAZE that "burnt out" two cars in west Reading is being treated as suspicious.

Firefighters from Dee Road were called to Kensington Road at 10.45pm last night and spent an hour putting out the fire, which destroyed a silver Toyota Corolla and a grey Peugeot 307.

Crew manager Rob Read said: "The fire was in the recreation area car park, but there was no spread between the cars so it looks as if both fires were started separately.

"The cars were completely burnt out."

Police are treating the incident as arson and anyone with information should call PC Kim Seymour via 101.
