Reading Half Marathon road closures

A ROLLING programme of road closures will be in force on Sunday, April 1, for the Reading Half Marathon, up until 2pm.

The main routes affected are Shooters Way, Hoops Way, Northern Way, Brook Drive and Longwater Avenue, which will close at 7am, and the A33 from 9.45am - with motorists coming to and from the M4 being advised to use Junctions 10 and 12.

Access to the Royal Berkshire Hospital will be open from London Road, Berkshire Independent Hospital from Bath Road and Berkely Avenue, and Dunedin Hospital from the IDR, Castle Hill and Bath Road, but people should expect delays.

The Household Waste Recyling Centre and access to Link Retail Park will open at 2pm and all town centre car parks will operate as normal, except for the Oracle Riverside, which will open at 11.30am. For full details see www.reading.gov.uk or call 0118 937 2771.
