Whitley boy found dead in woodland

A TEENAGE boy was found dead in a woodland in Whitley yesterday evening.

The body of the 17-year-old, named locally as former John Madejski Academy student Kelvin Lee, was discovered by police in The Cowsey.

Craig Evry, police spokesman, said: "Police were called yesterday afternoon because of fears for the welfare of a young man and officers carried out a search of the area.

"They located the body of a 17-year-old in The Cowsey in Whitley at 5.15pm and officers and paramedics carried out CPR at the scene.

"We are treating the death as unexplained but not suspicious."
