POLICE are hunting burglars who raided two Tilehurst houses on the same night and escaped with computers and top of the range televisions.

The back door of a house in Rodway Road was forced on Saturday night and the owners returned at 10.30am next day to find it looted and a Dell laptop, an HP laptop and a 37ins black Panasonic Vierra television were missing.

A house only yards away in Brendon Close was also targeted that night and a 60ins black LG television, a white iPad 2 and a black and silver E systems computer and monitor were stolen.

Sergeant Ade Hall, from Reading police station, said: "I urge anyone who may have seen someone acting suspiciously in the area, or who has any information, to come forward.

"Due to the size of the TV taken from one address it is believed a vehicle was involved and could have been seen in the Kentwood Hill or Rodway Road area."

Call 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
