POLICE are searching for a woman patient at west Reading's Prospect Park Hospital who has been missing since the weekend.

Rebecca Pitt, 21, was last seen leaving the Royal Berkshire Hospital at 4am on Saturday and is in need of medical treatment for stitches on her arms and forehead. She is 5ft 4ins tall with long curly brown hair, multiple scars on her arms, leg and neck, a tribal-style tattoo on her left hand and stars tattooed behind her right ear.

PC John Carter said: "I would like to speak to anyone who may have seen Rebecca in the Reading area, or who has information of her whereabouts.

"I would also urge Rebecca to make contact with us as soon as possible, so that we know she is well and can speak to her."

Rebecca may be in Woodley or the Waterlooville area of Hampshire but she may become distressed when approached, so anyone who spots her should call the non-emergency police number 101.
