Car fire near town centre

A FIRE that wrote off a car parked in a residential close is being treated as suspicious.

Firefighters from Caversham Road Fire Station who were called to the incident in St Giles Close near the Oracle roundabout in Reading at 5.30am today (Saturday) have reported it to police.

They spent 20 minutes putting out the fire that destroyed a black Chevrolet parked in a bay in a parking area. No other vehicles were damaged.
