Supermarket open despite electrical fire
A SUPERMARKET is open today despite a small electrical fire last night.
Three crews from Wokingham Road, Caversham and Wokingham fire stations were called to the blaze at Iceland in Chalfont Way, Lower Earley at 6.14pm.
The store's electrical intake box had caught alight and filled the building with smoke.
The shop was shut at the time.
Firefighters were there for about an hour and used fans to clear the smoke.
The damage was contained to the electrical box.
