Amy's Ghost - BBC Introducing Stage on Friday

Blissfully unaware of the impact they were having the band performed their haunting set not knowing that they had apparently drawn the largest crowd ever seen at a BBC Introducing Stage.

Frontwoman Amy Barton said: "The crowd started pretty big and people kept coming and stopping to watch us. Perhaps it's because we were really going for it.

"The sound was great. I was a little bit worried about that as you don't get a proper sound check, but you could hear everything as clear as a bell."

For the show Amy wore her own wedding dress with black embroidery which she'd had specially made by a friend, which was hitched up and worn with wellies while walking around the site. Amy said: "I want to keep it nice for Leeds"

After their astounding show Amy's Ghost appeared on BBC Red Button on Friday night and were hounded for BBC radio interviews.

Mr Fogg also performed on the BBC Introducing Stage on Friday, Midimidis perform on Saturday and Peers on Sunday, giving thousands of festivalgoers the chance to sample some real Reading talent.
