A PUBLIC meeting is being organised for residents in the Lower Caversham police area to discuss the findings of the area's crime survey.

The gathering, on a date next month and at a venue to be confirmed, will look at the latest issues neighbours tell the police they want action on.

The Lower Caversham Neighbourhood Action Group's (Nag) current priorities are anti-social behaviour, burglary and traffic issues.

Officers have put questionnaires through letterboxes, and PCSO Rob Dunford said: "Your views are important to us, and the Nag is one of the best forums for tackling local issues, so watch this space for updates on the public meeting.

"Regarding survey forms you may have received, please note that due to a reprographic error some may state a submission deadline of the 1st January 2010.

"At this time there is no deadline, so please ignore this. Completed surveys should be handed in at our office in Church Street."

There is also a police surgery for anyone wanting to discuss their crime concerns on Monday from 6-7pm at Church House.

PCSO Dunford also added that crime levels were down in Lower Caversham by 18.9% between January and March this year, compared to the same period last year.
