Man held after garden centre raid

POLICE have arrested a man in connection with a late night raid on a Hungerford garden centre.

Burglars made off with £1,000 from a safe when they broke into Wyevale Garden Centre, Pets Corner, Bath Road, last Thursday.

A 21-year-old man from Layland Green, Kintbury, has been arrested on suspicion of burglary and bailed to return to Newbury police station on Tuesday, April 6, while officers make further inquiries.
