MOVE over Alan Hansen! - Little George Major may want to consider a career as a football pundit after correctly predicting the Royal's 5-0 thrashing of Sheffield Wednesday.

Five-year-old George, who has leukaemia, met his heroes at the Madejski Stadium on Saturday as he raised money for toys for the oncology rooms at the Royal Berkshire Hospital, where he is undergoing treatment.

After already raising enough for a Nintendo Wii games console, he received a £1,000 donation from businessman Kiren Sharma, owner of Reading-based Gravity Personnel.

Aldryngton Primary School pupil George, from Earley, was invited to meet the team in the dressing room after the match and was given a signed shirt by star striker Simon Church, who scored one of the goals against Wednesday.

His mum Victoria Harrington said: "He loved every minute of it and even predicted the score."
