POTHOLE-RIDDEN town centre roads will be closed for repairs this weekend, meaning bus diversions.

The closures to repair damage caused by last month's snow and ice will affect St Mary's Butts, Oxford Road and West Street from Friday at 9pm until 5am on Monday morning.

Temporary bus stops will go up to replace stops in St Mary's Butts and at the Broad Street Mall for the whole weekend.

- For services 15 to Tilehurst, 16 to Purley and 17 to Tilehurst the nearest stop will be in Cheapside (Stop CZ).

- For services 2/2A to Peppard Common, 22 to Caversham Heights, 23/24 to Caversham and Emmer Green, and 40 to Kennet Island, the nearest stop will be in Friar Street outside Sainsbury's.

- For Loddon Bridge Park & Ride, the nearest stop will be Minster Street, Stop MQ.

- All westbound buses on services 15, 16 and 17 which usually stop at Oxford Road stops CW and CX will instead pick up at stop CZ in Cheapside.

- On Friday evening only, route 17 buses heading east towards Wokingham Road and all buses heading towards the station will skip Oxford Road and West Street and turn left into Cheapside, stopping at a temporary stop opposite stop CZ.

Passengers who normally alight in the St Mary's Butts/West Street areas should:

- For services 5, 6, N6, 24 and 111, get off at Bridge Street, Stop MI

- Services 9, N9, 19, 20, 21, 22 from the RBH direction, get off at Minster Street

All these services will be diverted via Castle Street and the IDR to Friar Street or Greyfriars Street.
