A MAN who died after being hit by a train at the notorious Ufton Nervet level crossing has been named as Kenneth Greenway.
The 49-year-old father-of-two from Fareham, Hampshire, was struck by the First Great Western Reading to Bedwyn service at 5.45am on Tuesday and police have since ruled out foul play.
The incident, at the same spot where seven people died when an express train hit a car deliberately driven onto the crossing in November 2004, led to rail services between Reading and Newbury being suspended for nearly six hours.
Berkshire coroner Peter Bedford is arranging an inquest into the death.
