ARSONISTS are thought to be behind three late-night fires which left a trail of destroyed vehicles across Reading.
A grey Volkswagen van and trailer were burned out in Faircross Road, Southcote, and a silver Toyota Yaris was also torched on the drive of a house in nearby Silchester Road, all at 1.40am on Sunday, January 3.
Dee Road firefighters were still handling that when, five minutes later, fire crews from Wokingham Road and Wargrave stations were called to a house barely a mile away in Tilehurst Road, Reading, where a caravan was ablaze. Flames spread from the gutted caravan to a Vauxhall Astra and a nearby fence.
Police confirmed they are linking the suspected arson attacks and asked anyone with information to call PC Charlotte Best via the police non-emergency number, 0845 8 505 505, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
