Freezing conditions strike Reading's roads

MOTORISTS are warned to take care on main roads and motorways as freezing conditions grip the region this evening (Tuesday).

Drivers are struggling to climb Grovelands Road in west Reading which where ice is causing treacherous conditions and freezing fog is sweeping in from south Reading leading to poor visibility.

  Where were the gritters at midnight on Wednesday when it all turned to black ice? And bins not collected either. All RBC staff went home mid-afternoon, even though the answer message said they were there until 5.00. RBC are a joke.
