Danyl leaves The X Factor

DANYL Johnson has left the X Factor.
The Reading singer with the huge voice and showstopping dancing skills made it to the semi-final of the ITV competition but, despite two incredible performances on Saturday night, will go no further.
Olly Murs, Joe McElderry and Stacey Solomon will now compete in the final next weekend.
When presenter Dermot O'Leary broke the news, Danyl said: "I've gone out to some of the best people I've ever met.
"Simon's been amazing and I've met some best friends for life. I'm just gonna see what happens now, I'm looking forward to seeing my family and friends and doing some gigs."
He closed the show with a brilliant performance of Michael Jackson's Man In The Mirror - watch him singing the same song in the live show below.
Mentor Simon Cowell told O'Leary: "There's nothing I would have changed, nothing more I would have done. It's just one of those things, but he's gone out on a high."
Later on in the evening, judge Louis Walsh told Holly Willoughby on ITV2's The Xtra Factor: "I watched the show back when I got in last night and Danyl was the best performer and I'm honestly gutted that he's gone.
"He should have been in the final."

Absolutely gutted. Louis is right, Danyl was definitely the best performer on Saturday night and I think Stacey should have gone instead. We still love you Danyl!

Wrong result.what\'s happened Dayl should have been in final. Hope ++++ he gets a record deal. Stacey should have gone...what's wrong with the UK public?

The UK public are so off base!! they dont like talent they like weird goofy ppl like Jedward and awkward Stacey....Stacey has no self confidence nor any poise..is this who you want to represent your country. Poor Danyl the talented one with a soulful one was kicked off, what a shame

I'm just so sad. He's someone who could be genuinely considered TALENTED in this X-factor 2009 series. The only one, I think, besides Jamie. I just regret the frustrating things Simon said after his performance of "the man in mirror" about "stupid polar bears". Personally I think it destroyed part of Danyl's success that night. However, I also see Danyl as a very fragile person as he was only back in his right level in the 2 recent shows and maybe that's not enough. Meanwhile his big competitor, Joe McElderry, grew week after week. I'm convinced that Joe would be the winner after Danyl's gone.

Astonishing result, I'm really upset. I can't help but wonder what the age range is of those voting. This is supposed to be a singing competition, Danyl, Lucy and Jamie had stage presence that'd motivate me to want to go and see them in live performances. Joe's got a lovely voice, but he hasn't got that extra something in my opinion.

I could not believe the result, Danyl is so talented, an all round singer & dancer - isn't that what having 'The X-Factor' is all about.
Olly's 'dancing' is becoming more & more pathetic & OTT. Stacey is a complete embarrassment - imagine her representing the UK (& is clearly another 'one trick Leonoa singer). Joe is actually brilliant, but is more suited to musical theatre - & there is nothing wrong with that, although I hope & pray he wins now.

disgraceful Danyl was the best - what are people voting for. hope he does well he should definitely get a recording contract, what an amazing talented performer. The x factor is losing credibility.\r\n

the result was spot on !!! danyl was the worst of the 4 by far.
stacy has without doubt the best singing voice, followed by joe and then ollie ( but ollie is the best entertainer ) the show has just got a whole better without danyl - glad to see him gone.

Danyl was the best!! I can't believe he left. Danyl should have won, I'm heartbroken. The other contestants Joe will make a Christmas song and album and be done. Stacie, another girl winning, seriously no-one will care. Olly is the only one who might actually make it work if it wins. But Danyl was guaranteed to the sucessful here and the US. Serious shame!

i was soo upset that daniel woz out he should of been in the final. stacey is a weird. she talks really weird. SHE SHOULD OF GONE INSTEAD OF DANYL.

He will get a record deal for sure. simon will get him a record deal. he is talented. he sang his song really good.
Reading luves him for wat he has done.
