A 51-YEAR-OLD man is due to appear in court accused of hare coursing.
The man was arrested on Saturday when a West Berkshire landowner contacted police to report that hare coursing was taking place in his fields. When officers arrived they found two men with four lurchers.
The arrested man, who has a Middlesex address, was charged with hunting a wild mammal with dogs and was granted bail to appear before Newbury magistrates on Tuesday, December 8.
A 15-year-old boy, also from Middlesex, was arrested at the same time but after questioning was bailed to return to Newbury police station on Monday.
