STUDENTS who have spent the week protesting at rising debt levels have organised a debate on the issue tonight.
Anyone can attend the tuition fees debate on at 7pm in room G10 of the Palmer Building on Reading University's Whiteknights campus.
It is the highlight of a 'Town Takeover' week of protests by Reading students against raising fees and will feature Reading East MP Rob Wilson, his Labour, Lib Dem and Green opponents Anneliese Dodds, Gareth Epps and Rob White, plus the president of the National Union of Students, Wes Streeting.
University of Reading Students' Union (RUSU) President, Sinead Brennan, said: "Throughout the week RUSU has been working hard to raise awareness of this issue not only to our students, but to the parents, grandparents, teachers and friends of sixth form students who could be affected by this review in the future. We're really looking forward to the debate where all the hard work will come together; our students are looking forward to holding our politicians to account."
