STUDENTS drowning in debt are launching a week of campaigning calling for a fairer funding system.
Reading University Students' Union (RUSU) is staging its 'Town Takeover' starting on Saturday, where campaigners will be at the Oracle putting their art skills to work depicting student debt.
On Wednesday next week students will create a 'mountain' of student debt, to ask whether the Government should be asking for more from students when they are already giving so much.
RUSU staff and officials will be visiting sixth form colleges around Reading to education younger students on the effects that lifting the current cap on tuition fees could have on them.
On Thursday next week (November 19), MPs will join the debate with a surgery at the University of Reading followed by a public discussion at 7pm in Palmer Building room G10 - anyone is free to attend.
