"DO not leave cooking food unattended" is the message from firefighters after a kitchen fire.
A crew from Caversham Road station was called out to a house in Patrick Road in Caversham at 8pm last night (Saturday) after food on the hob caught light.
None of the three female occupants in their 20s were harmed and firefighters put out the blaze within half an hour using CO2 extinguishers.
Firefighter James McGuinnity said: "Don't leave cooking unattended. Just be a bit more aware of what is going on in your house."
