Businesses to hear how we coped with recession

BUSINESSES in Reading will hear how they can prepare for better times next month.

Connect Reading, which matches businesses with organisations they can help, will host a special forum on November 13 called Preparing for the Upturn - How the Recession Affected Reading.

Speakers will include Michael Coughlin, chief executive of Reading Borough Council, superintendent Steve Kirk from Thames Valley Police and Ian Caren, chief executive of Reading Single Homeless Project.

The forum which is sponsored by the Hilton Hotel will be followed by Connect Reading's annual meeting.
