SONNING resident Uri Geller is in mourning after the death of singer and close friend Michael Jackson.
The psychic and paranormalist paid tribute to the 50-year-old pop legend who died yesterday (Thursday) after suffering a cardiac arrest at his mansion in Beverly Hills, California, at around midday.
Paramedics desperately attempted to resuscitate him but the "Prince of Pop" was announced dead two hours later after arriving at the UCLA medical centre in west Hollywood.
Jackson was best man when Geller renewed his wedding vows in 2001 and had often stayed at his village home near Reading.
Millions have joined Geller in an out pouring of grief, including thousands of fans who bought tickets for his 50 date comeback tour, which was due to start on Monday 13 July at London"s O2 Arena.
Heartbroken fans have also paid their respects by placing bouquets of flowers on Geller's lawn.
