A CYCLIST was left with serious injuries after being dragged along the road and thrown over the handlebars of his bike in Calcot.
The 24-year-old man was riding along Bath Road into Reading when he came to the junction with Langley Hill.
As he waited at the traffic lights, a white Ford Transit flat-bed vehicle collided with him and dragged him until he was thrown from his bike.
The vehicle did not stop at the scene of the incident, which happened at around 6pm on Thursday, June 4.
The cyclist was taken to Royal Berkshire Hospital with serious injuries and is recovering well at home.
PC Craig Riley, investigating, said: 'The cyclist has been left with some nasty injuries as a result of this collision and is lucky that they were not more serious.
'I am trying to trace the driver of the vehicle involved in this collision.
'I would urge him or her to please come forward and help me with my enquiries.
'I am also trying to trace two people who stopped at the scene to help the cyclist.
'They may have some important information that can help with my enquiries, so I would urge them to please get in touch.'
