Thames woman died of natural causes

A WOMAN found dead in the Thames at Mapledurham Lock on Thursday morning died of natural causes, a post mortem has found.

The unnamed woman, thought to be in her sixties, was discovered by a member of the public at around 8.55am.

Police treated the death as unexplained but not as suspicious.

But they have now called off their investigation and believe she was out walking when she suddenly died and toppled into the water.
