AN ABANDONED car was set alight in an industrial estate in the early hours of this morning.
Firefighters were called out to Gillette Way in the Rose Kiln Lane industrial estate at 4am and spent 40 minutes tackling the blazing Peugeot 206.
Whitley Wood fire station crew manager Mark Stollery said that police believed the car had been stolen but added: "We couldn't tell what colour it was - it was too badly burnt."
